Tim Kohl is a drummer in Atlanta, Georgia. Tim began playing drums at age 11. Like many others, he was inspired by drummers like Ringo Starr and Buddy Rich. Early on, Tim was fortunate to have his parents provide drum lessons under the direction of William Cerulli in Stamford, Connecticut. Tim began playing in jazz ensemble and marching band at school along with local garage bands. Tim attended the University of Connecticut studying marketing and communications at Storrs , Connecticut. He is a huge fan of the UCONN Huskies. 

Throughout college, he continued to play as much as possible and perfected original as well as cover songs with Jonathan Svec (Splender and Edisun). After school, Tim returned to Atlanta, Georgia and settled into the satellite industry with Dish Network and later embraced the entrepreneurship of owning his own professional bicycle shop for 10 years. 

Currently , Tim helps Sweet Spot Smiles Dental Care with marketing and operations in Locust Grove. Additionally, he has completed a Specialist Certificate program in Drums with Berklee School of Music. He now spends his additional time playing in original and cover band projects as well as supporting local worship band services. 

Tim Kohl focuses on Rock, Blues, Afro-Cuban, Funk and Progessive Rock styles. Tim uses Yamaha Drums, Ludwig Drums, Sabian and Meinl Cymbals as well as various sticks from Vic Firth, Promark and Vater. These days he is playing Evans Drum Heads.
